Create a CNAME record and point it to hub.myplugin.online:
Create CNAME Record:
- Access your DNS management panel provided by your domain registrar.
- Look for the option to add or edit DNS records.
- Create a new CNAME record with the following details:
- Name/Host/Alias: [Enter the hostname you desire, e.g., firewall.yourdomain.com]
- Type: CNAME
- Value/Points to: hub.myplugin.online
Avoid Confusion with A Record:
- Ensure that you only create a CNAME record and not an A record. No A record is needed for this redirection.
Propagation Time:
- Keep in mind that it may take some time (typically a few minutes to 2 hours) for the new hostname to propagate across the internet and become accessible.
Automatic SSL Certificate:
- A free SSL certificate will be automatically installed by us for the new hostname, ensuring secure connections.
Choose a Unique Hostname:
- Create a new and unused hostname for your CNAME record.
- Avoid using hostnames already in use or associated with applications like WHMCS, Clientexec, or WiseCP.
Dashboard for Clients:
- The new hostname you choose will direct clients to the dashboard where they can connect to the firewall using your custom brand hostname and branding on the dashboard.
The hosname must be set on your reseller profile. You can change it at any time automatically on geniusplugin.com
