Clientexec  v6.6.0   and heigher

Download the Clientexec GP Firewall server plugin zip file to your computer. (link to zip file provided by email on reseller program account activation)

  • Extract the contents of the plugin ZIP file on your computer.
  • Connect to your ClientExec installation directory on your server using an FTP client or file manager provided by your hosting provider.
  • Upload the extracted folder "gpf" to the "plugins/server" directory  within your ClientExec installation.

  • Access the administration area of your ClientExec installation by logging in with your administrator credentials.
  • Hover over the "Settings" top menu of your ClientExec admin area, then under the "Products" group menu click on "Servers".
  • Click the top-left button "Add server"
  • The "Edit server" page is displayed. Look for "GP Firewall" or "GP Firewall Server" in the plugin select field options. Select it.
  • Fill the "Hostname" with "www.geniusplugin.com" and the "API Key" with your API Key from your reseller setting page on Client Area. Then fill "Failure E-mail" with your email to receive API notifications. (you should have a reseller account already activated. Activate your reseller account).

  • A new server has been added. Edit it to display again the "Edit server" page.
  • Assuming you entered the correct ip address of your whmcs server on Client Area reseller profile. Click on "Test Connection" button. You should have a successful response. Otherwise our API may help you with error detail.

Once you test remote connection to our systems from Clientexec or Whmcs server plugin for example, the API will either output a successful connection or let you know your server ip which can be authorised.
From within your GP cloud account you can instantly update your authorised ip for first activation or if you migrate your server and the ip has changed.

Now you can already create your packages with your own prices.
  • Create a custom field "token", set it as "password" field type and check the box "Show in admin lists", "Show in portal lists" and "Include in Identifier".

When creating your packages, remember to click on the "Advanced & Plugin Settings" while you are editing the new package details.

  • Under "Advanced & Plugin Settings", select GP Firewall server name as "Associated Servers"
  • Under the "Plugin options available for the selected servers" add exactly the same name GP uses for the package. e.g. "Free" or "20k"

Notice that the "Free" package has just the first letter uppercase, all other characters of all packages are and must be lowercase.


Any setting that seems not to have been mentioned, is not related to GP Firewall server plugin and it's up to you to freely set as per your needs.
